US ECOLOGY ANNOUNCES DIVESTITURE OF NON-HAZARDOUS WASTE PROCESSING FACILITY

/EINPresswire.com/ — BOISE, ID–(Marketwired – April 05, 2016) – US Ecology, Inc. (the “Company”) (NASDAQ: ECOL), a leading North American provider of environmental services, today announced the sale of its non-hazardous solid and liquid waste processing facility located in Augusta, GA (“USE Augusta”) to Covanta Environmental Solutions, a leading provider of comprehensive environmental services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“We view this as a positive outcome for the facility, our employees and our company,” commented Chairman and CEO Jeff Feeler. “The Augusta facility, while led by an excellent team of industry professionals, was not well aligned with our core environmental services assets or sales focus. US Ecology continues to be focused on developing its core environmental service offerings and evaluating the disposition of non-core assets.”

USE Augusta is reported as part of our Environmental Services segment. Its financial contribution to the Company was not material for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2015 and the sale has no impact to US Ecology’s previously provided 2016 earnings guidance which we reported in our earnings release dated February 18, 2016.
